Lovisa says she felt the same about her feet. As many women, working and being a mother of two small children, she lacked time for self care. And her poor feet came last on her priority list.
Pedicures at salons usually have lengthy protocols, including long foot soaks sometimes with products added to the water to soften the hard foot skin, then the feet are covered with patches with aggressive softeners and finally wrapped up in plastic film and you are left to wait… After this extensive preparation, it’s time for gommage and filing and then, at last, the toe nails get their attention.
The result of a professional pedicure is usually fabulous and the nail polish done on the toes last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. The only problem is that the foot soles need care more often than that.
Having tried exfoliating socks, which took weeks to show results, and a myriad of other brands and products which promise the earth, but fail to deliver, Lovisa felt increasingly disappointed and decided to create her own foot treatment.
